We all are under stress as we continue our education and find balance with our personal lives. There also is stress associated with learning new things and being open to new ways to think as we broaden our horizons.
One of the things I rediscovered was the power of my own thoughts with our relaxation exercise. This exercise was on my to do list for class this week, and one I had not checked off yet. I was a little anxious as I am approaching the end-of-unit deadline, so I hurriedly started the exercise. The narrator's voice was very soothing as he guided me through this exercise, feeling relaxed almost immediately just by the sound of the voice. I experienced relaxation during the very first exercise, and when the entire exercise was complete, I opened my eyes and felt warmth in my hands and noticeably more relaxed with less tension in my neck than when I started. I need to experience this more often!
